familiesforward supports community groups that provide parent-child programming in our area. We financially support projects that strengthen our guiding principles: learning and literacy; nutrition and physical health; positive parenting; and community capacity building. All funded projects must comply with our current funding guidelines.  The maximum funding for any project remains at $5,000.00.
Examples of funded programs include:

  • Family drop-in programs
  • Activities promoting learning, literacy, nutrition and healthy living at school open houses, family events and BBQ’s
  • Workshops for parents

Grant applications are accepted twice a year. In March for full year programs (April – March) and spring/summer/fall projects (April – December) and fund permitting again in October for winter projects (January –March).
The next grant application deadline is Thursday March 1st, 2018.  *We are currently assessing our budget to determine if we have funds for the October deadline.  Please check back after September 15th, 2018 for more  information.
