Bookmates Family Learning FUNdamentals
Your introduction to family literacy and learning begins with Bookmates Family Learning FUNdamentals. This training provides a foundation in the principles, strategies, and research needed to run quality family programs. Fun, hands-on activities teach the key components of a family learning program. This is the recommended pre-requisite for all of our Bookmates facilitator certification trainings.
Ideal for: People working with families in child care facilities, home visits, family resource centres, schools and other organizations that support families.
• Receive a reference manual for use when running parent-child programs
• Learn about clear language strategies
• Learn how to run an effective children’s and parent’s program
• Participate in a rhyme circle
• Learn strategies for book sharing
• Make samples of books and other literacy activities
• Share strategies for facilitating programs in the community
