The next board meeting of familiesforward will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, 12:00 p.m., Bethel Mennonite Church. All are welcome to attend.
Healthy Together Now! (HTN!) funds can be used to support physical activity, nutrition, mental wellness and smoking prevention initiatives in River Heights/Fort Garry community area. The RH/FG HTN! funds can be used by the community to develop projects or enhance existing programs. HTN! funds supports activities that reduce barriers to participation. Grants of $500 to $3,000 will be awarded but can vary based on program activities and available funds.

familiesforward is pleased to present a 2014 National Family Literacy Day Event: Saturday, February 1, 2014, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Grant Park Shopping Centre (area outside mall entrance to Safeway).
James Allum, MLA, will be the storyteller at 2:00 p.m. and our headliner storyteller, Fred Penner, children’s entertainer, goes on at 3:00 p.m. Each child under the age of 6 will received a free book to take home!
